Submitted for libGDX September 2023 jam

This is a "bite" sized horror jam game meant to be played in Chrome browser.

Note: If the browser version runs slow for you, a downloadable version for Windows is also available. There will probably be some bugs, especially in the browser version unfortunately. I will try to patch them in future versions but the jam is due now!

Description

Simone, a skilled pilot, finds herself stranded, her ship critically damaged. With limited options, she sets a course for the only beacon of hope - the Phobos 13 station.

But as her ship nears, an eerie silence envelopes her. No response to hails, no signs of life. The once-bustling hub now stands as a silent monolith against the backdrop of stars.

Venture into the corridors of Phobos 13 as Simone, unraveling the mysteries of its sudden silence. But be warned: some truths are better left buried in the void.

"The Phobos Event" is a journey into the unknown, a horror game that challenges you to confront your fears and delve deep into a narrative of suspense and cosmic terror.

😊👍

this is beyond awesome for me. I love the Alien Covenant and Event Horizon vibes it has. really good.

Event Horizon is one of my favorite horror movies!

Nice game. The running animations are choice. You may want to make the aiming and fire button different, having to unload a few rounds everytime you aim is kind of silly xD

Haha yeah, thanks for playing! That shooting mechanic was a time limitation more than anything, I needed to tweak the shooting animation to support that but ran out of time!

I like the PS1 survival horror era vibes! This feeling of fighting not only enemies but also the camera like in old RE brings back memories :D

Almost finished the game but got killed after calling for help :( Waiting for a spoiler with the ending!

Great work! Classic RE and DC vibes. Tank controls and the switch to first person camera for shooting option was great.  :-D

nice retro

Impressive game

What can I say other than "wow"? So cool.

I completed the game.  I survived!

Or did I?

Good game.
